【摘要】:1.1Thispracticecoversthestandardsandproceduresforthecontact,pulse-echoultrasonicexaminationofausteniticsteelforgingsbythestraightoranglebeamtechniques,orboth.1.2Thispracticeshallbeusedwhenevertheinquiry,proposal,contract,order,orspecificationstatesthatausteniticsteelforgingsaretobesubjecttoultrasonicexaminationinaccordancewithPracticeA745/A745M.UltrasonicexaminationofnonmagneticretainingringforgingsshouldbemadetoPracticeA531/A531M,nottothispractice.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.4Thispracticeandtheapplicablematerialspecificationsareexpressedinbothinch-poundunitsandSIunits.However,unlesstheorderspecifiestheapplicablex201C;Mx201D;specificationdesignation[SIunits],thematerialshallbefurnishedtoinch-poundunits.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
